Our standard shipping policies are as follows:
- U.S.: We ship within the U.S. using UPS Ground.
- International: We ship internationally (including Canada) using United States Postal Service Priority Mail International.
If you have a specific shipping request or preference, please contact us.
Return of Goods
J. Panther Luggage Co. is confident that you’ll be pleased with your purchase. If for some reason however it should fail to meet your expectations, we will be happy to exchange it for another item or to offer a full refund (exclusive of shipping costs and any import/export charges).
Please return your item to us unused, with swing tag and packaging, by contacting us first at email@example.com, where we will advise the appropriate return shipping address. Please include a copy of the packing note with any return.
Customers are responsible for all return and exchange shipping charges, including any applicable duty and taxes if returning goods from outside the U.S.
We strongly recommend that you insure the bag for the full replacement cost and use a shipping service that provides tracking, since we cannot accept liability for the loss of merchandise before it has been received at our facilities.
We reserve the right to make exceptions to our standard returns policy for items purchased by corporate entities for non-personal use.
Damaged or Faulty Goods
J. Panther Luggage Co. items are designed and built to last here in the U.S.A. They should age and wear beautifully with use. In addition to passing stringent quality control checks when manufactured, we also double-check each item upon dispatch to our customers.
In the unlikely event that a J. Panther Luggage Co. item reaches you in a damaged or faulty condition, or becomes defective within 12 months of purchase due to defects in materials or workmanship, please contact us immediately so that we can arrange return shipping of the defective item and either a refund or replacement. Please also provide proof of purchase if the item was not purchased from jplc.com online store.
If you damage the item, we would be happy to provide maintenance advice or a repair quote.
Additionally... About Our Leather and Canvas
The leather used by J. Panther Luggage Co. is the product of traditional processes, and is rich in oils, fats, extracts and aniline dyes. Extremely durable, it also ages beautifully. Our sole supplier is the Horween tannery of Chicago, established in 1905 and famous for its 'Cordovan' leather, a staple of European luxury goods houses. Horween also supplies ball leather to the NBA and NFL. Made from 100% North American hides, our leather is the result of a tanning process known as ‘Hot Stuffing,’ which allows the hides’ true, beautiful character – including grain, marks, freckles and scars – to show through. We encourage the use of these ‘marked’ parts of the hide, since this renders each item truly unique while also minimizing wastage.
Our leather is not mass-produced; it's tanned using the same artisanal process and machinery that Horween has used since the 1800's. As a result, shading may vary slightly from item to item and panel to panel.
NATURAL ANILINE DYES AND FINISHES ARE USED IN THE TANNING OF OUR LEATHER AND MAY TRANSFER ONTO GARMENTS IN SOME INSTANCES.
SIMILARLY, THE DYES USED IN OUR CANVAS MAY ALSO BE MOBILE, PARTICULARLY WITH DARKER SHADES.
PLEASE USE DISCRETION WHEN WEARING LIGHTER COLOR CLOTHING.
